[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 평창군은 용평면 장평리 일원에 장평5일장 평화시장이 열리는 제방변 지구단위계획 미개설도로 2개 노선에 대해 올해 도로개설사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

군은 장평5일장 주변의 원활한 차량 통행을 위하여 미개설된 제방변 지구단위계획도로에 대해 8억 원의 사업비를 투자하여 올해 도로개설을 완료할 계획으로, 현재 실시설계를 완료하고 보상 중에 있으며 오는 5월에 공사를 착공할 계획이라고 전했다.

주현관 도시과장은 “해당 지구단위계획도로가 개설되면 장평5일장 평화시장 주변 도로 및 공공주차장 등 기반시설 조성이 완료되어 지역주민, 방문 관광객 등의 교통 편의 향상으로 지역경제 활성화에 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.”고 말했다.
