[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 12일부터 한 달간 동해시가 16억원을 들여 관내 노후 불량 포장도로 정비와 차선 도색을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

동해시는 이를 위해 지난 1월부터 3월까지 국도 7호선, 해안도로 등 주요도로에 대한 현황 조사를 거쳤다고 전했다. 

동해시는 조사 결과 대형화물차 통행으로 인한 도로 패임현상(포트홀)과 거북등 균열 등 포장균열이 심한 6.7km(면적 39,490㎡) 구간을 대상으로 10억원의 사업비를 들여 보수를 진행할 계획이라고 했다.

또, 추가로 6억원을 들여 국도 7호선 및 38호선을 비롯해 시내 주요 도로 총 22개 노선 77km의 차선 및 횡단보도 등 각종 노면 표시 일체 도색도 실시할 예정이라고 했다.

장명석 건설과장은 “도로보수 기간 중 발생되는 차량 통행 불편 최소화를 위하여 신속하게 사업을 추진하겠다”며, “시민들의 많은 이해와 적극적인 협조를 부탁드린다”고 당부했다.
