[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 4월 6일 오후 2시 가평군 설악면 선촌리 산61 소재 토목공사장에서 대기환경법 제58조 4항을 위반한 채로 공사를 진행한 사실이 적발됐다.

이 곳은 단독주택 및 여러 건물들이 들어서기 위해 가평군에서 건축목적 개발행위로 허가를 내주어 진행된 공사이다. 하지만, 해당 소재 구역에 개발 담당을 맡은 시공사는 주변 50m 이내에 주거시설에 있음에도 불구하고 3m이상의 방진벽을 설치 하지 않았으며, 비산먼지 억제를 위한 비산방지망도 미설치로 공사를 진행했다.

또한, 세륜기 미설치로 인해 토사 방출하는 공사차량이 바퀴 세차도 하지 않고 도로로 진입해 환경을 오염시키는 행위도 확인됐다.

이에 인근 주민은 불법을 저지른 토목공사장에 대해 가평군에 고발했고, 가평군은 대기환경법을 위반한 토목공사장에 대해 조사를 진행할 것으로 보여진다.
