[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 북부지방산림청은 오는 4월말까지 서울·경기·강원지역을 중심으로 농림지 동시발생 병해충 월동난과 약·성충 예찰조사를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

농림지 동시발생 돌발해충은 산림과 농경지를 넘나들며 임산물과 농작물에 피해를 주고 도심 생활권까지 이동하여 생활권 주변에 무더기로 산란하는 등 도시경관을 저해시키기도 하고, 또한 독성가루에 의해 알레르기성 피부질환을 일으키는 등 주민들의 일상생활에도 불편을 초래하고 있다고 했다.

특히 성충이 되면 방제방법과 방제효과가 현저히 떨어져 월동난 시기에 발생 조사와 함께 알집 제거를 병행하고, 동시에 약성충 발생조사도 실시하여 방제 적기에 맞춰 방제 추진 예정이라고 전했다.

최수천 북부지방산림청장은 “지구 온난화 등의 영향으로 각종 병해충의 월동생존율이 증가하여 대규모 피해 발생이 우려되므로, 유관기관과 협력하여 적극적인 예찰과 생활사별 맞춤형 방제로 피해 최소화에 최선을 다하겠다.”며 주변에 돌발해충이 발생할 경우 가까운 산림청이나 해당 시ㆍ군으로 신고해 주실 것을 당부했다.
