[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 북부지방산림청은 올해 1월부터 이달 5일까지 소나무재선충병 피해고사목 제거, 예방나무주사 등 상반기 소나무재선충병 방제사업을 마무리했다고 밝혔다.

소나무재선충병 확산이 우려되는 수도권 내 광역선단지를 중심으로 QR코드 등 ICT기반의 고사목 이력관리를 통하여 항공(드론 포함)ㆍ지상예찰을 실시함과 동시에 5개 시ㆍ군 39권역에 발생한 피해고사목 등 3만여본에 대해 41억원을 투입하여 책임 방제했다고 했다.

또한, 소나무재선충병의 방제품질 향상과 인위적 확산 차단을 위해 소나무재선충병 방제지역 기관장 면담, 방제사업지 컨설팅 및 현장점검을 실시하였고, 소나무류 취급업체ㆍ화목농가 등 1,544개소에 대한 소나무류 불법 이동단속을 병행 실시했다고 전했다.

최수천 북부지방산림청장은 “경기ㆍ강원지역의 소나무재선충병 피해량이 전년도 대비 45% 정도 증가한 상황”으로 “피해지역에 대한 철저한 정밀예찰ㆍ관리를 통해 피해고사목이 누락되지 않도록 하반기 방제사업 준비에 총력을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
