[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 홍천군 두촌면장 직인이 48년 만에 훈민정음체로 교체된다고 밝혔다.

이번 교체된 훈민정음체 직인 도안은 대한민국 미술대전 서예부문 운영위원장을 역임한 서예가 범여(凡與) 정양화 선생의 재능기부로 제작됐다고 했다.

한글을 한문 서체에 맞춰 한글 전서체로 사용했던 기존 직인이 교체, 시인성도 크게 향상될 것을 기대되며, 두촌면 행정복지센터는 지난 1974년 1월 1일부터 각종 공문서 발송과 민원사무 처리 용도로 사용했던 두촌면장 직인과 민원사무전용 직인 등 공인 2개를 교체했다고 전했다.

장용기 두촌면장은 “우리 고유의 한글인 훈민정음 글씨체를 사용해 올바른 역사 인식과 자긍심 고취에 기여하고 국민 누구나 공문서 발신자를 명확히 알아 볼 수 있도록 하는 것 또한 민원인과 소통하는 하나의 방법이라 생각한다”며 “앞으로도 고품격 민원행정 서비스 제공을 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다. 

한편 기존 직인은 한글 전서체로 제작되어 알아보기 어렵고, 오랜 사용으로 마멸의 정도가 심해 관공서의 품격과 가치를 훼손시켰지만 관행적으로 사용되어 왔다고 했다.
