[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 1일부터 강릉시는 자원의 절약과 재활용촉진에 관한 법률 시행규칙(약칭 자원재활용법 시행규칙) 개정 및 1회용품 사용규제(무상제공금지 및 사용억제) 제외대상 고시 개정에 따라 커피전문점, 일반음식점 등 식품접객업소 및 기타 업종에 대하여 1회용품 사용을 금지한다고 밝혔다.

재개되는 1회 용품 사용 규제 방안은 코로나 팬더믹으로 시행된 1회용품 일시적 사용을 멈추고, 코로나 이전과 동일하게 식품접객업소 등은 다회용기를 사용해야 한다고 했다. 

다만, 1회용 종이컵, 1회용 빨대, 1회용 젓는 막대(합성수지 재질)는 2022년 11월 24일부터 규제 대상으로 적용된다고 전했다.

강릉시는 1회용품 사용규제를 재시행하되, 코로나19 상황이 개선될 때까지 규제 위반에 따른 과태료는 부과되지 않으나, 식품접객업소 등에 대한 지도와 홍보를 중심으로 집중 점검을 실시할 계획이라고 전했다.

강릉시 관계자는“과태료가 부과되지 않더라도 1회 용품 사용을 줄이려는 시민 여러분들의 노력과 적극적인 협조 부탁드리며, 개인 텀블러 및 다회용기 사용을 부탁드린다.”고 말했다.
