[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 29일 오후 2시, 횡성군은 ‘횡성이모빌리티 복합단지’ 지구단위계획 수립을 위한 제3차 주민설명회를 횡성읍행정복지센터 2층 소회의실에서 개최한다고 밝혔다.

횡성이모빌리티 복합단지 조성 사업은 강원도 및 횡성군의 신 성장 동력인 이모빌리티 산업 클러스터 조성을 목적으로 횡성읍 묵계리 일원에 지난 2020년부터 오는 2030년까지 추진되는 장기 프로젝트라고 했다

특히 지난 2차 설명회 때 30만 평 규모의 사업부지에 대한 토지소유주들의 의견과 주민소득사업이 추가 반영된 사업계획을 설명하는 자리이므로 이해관계인의 참석이 요구된다고 했다.

군은 도에서 역점적으로 추진하는 이모빌리티 기업지원센터, 개발지원센터, 유관 공공기관 및 관련 기업 유치뿐만 아니라, 이모빌리티를 활용한 테마파크, 화훼공원 등 관광 인프라 구축, 지원주택 건립, 주민소득사업 기반 조성 등을 통해 이모빌리티 선도도시로서 지역 성장을 견인한다는 계획이라고 전했다.  

이번 설명회에서는 앞서 두 차례에 걸쳐 열린 설명회를 통해 수렴된 주민 의견을 반영한 이모빌리티 복합단지 조성을 위한 기본구상과, 재원 조달 방안 및 향후 추진계획에 대해 설명하고,  군은 오는 5월 이모빌리티 복합단지 지구단위계획 수립을 위한 행정절차에 돌입, 올해 말 결정 및 고시할 예정이라고 했다.

조형용 미래전략과장은 “탄소 중립의 시대, 친환경 신성장 동력인 이모빌리티 산업을 통해 횡성의 시대를 열 수 있도록 최선을 다해 추진하겠다.”고 말했다.

한편, 횡성군 우천면 우천산업단지 내 이모빌리티 관련 연구사업과 소규모 임대공장, 이모빌리티 전문 인력 양성, 전기차 및 부품 전시 공간 등으로 구성된 ‘이모빌리티 지식산업센터’가 금년 상반기 준공을 앞두고 있으며, 횡성읍 조곡리 일원 215,000㎡ 규모의 이모빌리티 특화농공단지 조성도 추진 중에 있다고 밝혔다.
