[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 23일 북부지방산림청은 2022년 봄철 나무심기사업 착수를 알리는 “22년 첫나무 심기”행사를 원주시 판부면 서곡리 국유림에서 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 서곡리 이장, 북부지방산림청장, 홍천국유림관리소장, 국유림영림단 등 관계자 30여 명이 참석했다고 전했다.

산림청 전체로 첫나무심기는 지난 2월 24일 전남 완도에서 있었지만 강원과 서울경기 지역 국유림에서는 3월 말이 되어야 산지의 토양이 풀려(해토) 비로소 나무를 심을 수 있는 시기가 된다고 했다.

북부지방산림청은 올해 여의도 면적의 2.3배에 해당하는 660ha 규모의 나무심기사업을 북부지방산림청 관할구역인 강원 영서지역과 서울 경기지역에서 추진한다고 전했다.
