[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시는 농어촌 저소득 등록장애인의 생활 및 이동에 불편이 없도록 주거용 편의시설 설치를 지원하는 「2022년 농어촌 장애인주택 개조사업」을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

지원대상은 농어촌 해당 지역에 거주하는 전년도 도시근로자 가구당 월평균소득액 이하의 장애인으로, 시는 소득수준과 우선순위에 따라 지원할 계획이라고 했다.

지원내용은 장애인의 이동 및 생활편의를 위해 수요자 맞춤형으로 주택 내 편의시설 지원을 원칙으로 하고, 화장실 개조, 문턱 낮추기, 경사로 설치, 싱크대 설치 등 가구당 380만원 한도 내에서 지원한다고 했다.

동해시는 지난해 1,500만원을 투입해 기초생활보장 가구 3가구에게 싱크대 설치, 안전 손잡이 설치 등 편의시설을 지원했다고 전했다.

장한조 허가과장은 “농어촌지역 장애인의 생활과 이동에 불편함이 없도록 장애 유형과 특성을 잘 반영한 맞춤형 지원을 통해 편안한 주거환경과 편의가 증진될 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
