[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 3월 17일과 18일 이틀에 걸쳐 홍천군 화촌면 야시대1리는 행인교마을과 벌촌마을 안길에 영산홍 3,800주를 식재, 꽃길을 조성했다고 밝혔다.

군도 10호선 도로 옆에 돌배나무 100여주와 꽃잔디 480주, 영산홍 500주도 식재했으며, 이번 마을 경관조성은 ‘아름다운 마을 우리가 만들어요’ 풍요로운 마을만들기 2단계 사업의 일환으로 진행됐고, 야시대1리 행인교마을과 벌촌마을 주민 70여명이 참여했다고 전했다.

한종희 이장은 “삭막한 도로의 모습을 아름다운 거리로 탈바꿈시키기 위해 주민 모두가 힘을 합쳐 영산홍과 꽃잔디, 돌배나무를 식재했다”며 “가을이면 한들거리는 코스모스와 함께 꽃내음 가득한 아름다운 마을을 만들고 싶다”고 말했다.
