[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 3월 11일 원주시는 대통령 직속 국가균형발전위원회가 ‘2022년 취약지역 생활여건 개조사업’ 신규 대상지로 부론면 단강1리 마을을 선정했다고 밝혔다.

이 사업은 취약지역 주민들이 최소한의 삶의 질을 보장받을 수 있도록 주거, 안전, 위생 등 생활 여건을 개선하는 사업으로, 올해 신규 대상지로 부론면 단강1리를 비롯한 도내 5개 읍·면, 전국 68개 지역이 선정됐다고 했다.

원주시는 이번 사업으로 확보한 국비 17억 2천 8백만 원을 포함, 2025년까지 총 24억 1천 3백만 원의 사업비를 투자해 사업을 추진할 계획이라고 전했다.

앞으로 단강1리 마을은 재해방지 시설 설치, 방범 응급시스템 도입, 기초 기반 시설 설치, 위생 여건 개선, 주민 편의시설 설치 등 생활 인프라 확충과 더불어 빈집철거와 슬레이트 지붕개량 등 주택 정비, 노인 돌봄 및 건강관리 프로그램 등 휴먼케어, 그리고 다양한 주민역량 강화사업 등을 지원받게 된다고 전했다.

원주시 관계자는 “이번 사업의 추진으로 그동안 취약했던 농촌지역의 기본적인 생활 여건과 복지 수준이 향상될 것으로 기대하고 있다.”라고 말했다.
