불법주정차 차량은 스마트폰 앱 '안전신문고'를 활용해 1분 간격의 배경이 동일한 위치에서 촬영한 위반차량 사진 2장 이상을 제출하면 되고, 신고대상은 ‘5대 불법주정차 금지구역’으로 버스정류소 10m이내, 소화전 반경 5m이내, 교차로 모퉁이 5m이내, 횡단보도, 어린이 보호구역 등이 해당된다고 전했다.

4대 불법주정차 금지구역은 연중 24시간 신고가 가능하며, 어린이보호구역은 평일 08시부터 20시까지 운영하고 주말과 공휴일은 제외된다고 했다.
