[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 7일부터 오는 3월 25일까지 3주간 북부지방산림청은 소나무재선충병 피해의 인위적 확산방지와 건전한 유통 취급질서 확립을 위하여 봄철 소나무류 이동 특별단속을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

북부지방산림청과 경기도, 강원도가 합동으로 단속을 실시하며, 주요 선단지 지역인 경기 안성ㆍ포천, 강원 춘천ㆍ홍천 지역은 더욱 집중 점검할 예정이라고 했다.

* 선단지 지역 : 소나무재선충병 발생지역과 그 외곽의 확산이 우려되는 지역

단속대상은 관할지역 내 소나무류를 취급하는 제재업, 조경업체, 화목사용농가 등이며, 소나무류 생산·유통에 대한 관련 대장 등을 확인하고  소나무류 무단 이동 등 위법사항에 대하여 집중 단속할 방침이라고 했다.

* 관내 소나무류 취급업체 : 5,384개소(원목생산업·조경업체 952, 화목사용농가 4,432)

위반 행위가 적발되면 「소나무재선충병 방제특별법」에 따라 최고 1년 이하의 징역 또는 1,000만원 이하의 벌금이 부과된다고 전했다.

최수천 북부지방산림청장은 “소나무재선충병의 인위적인 확산을 방지하기 위해서는 소나무류 취급업체와 화목사용 농가의 적극적인 협조가 필요하다.”라고 전하면서 소나무류 취급 시 주의사항을 꼭 준수해 줄 것을 당부했다.
