[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시가 지역사회에 새로운 변화를 이끌고 정부정책 트랜드에 발맞춘 미래 먹거리 사업 확보를 위해 오는 15일 심규언 시장 주재로 「2023년도 국비 등 사업발굴 보고회」를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

동해시는 정부에서 추진하는 전방위적 경제활력 제고, 한국판 뉴딜 2.0, 지역균형발전 등 중점 추진과제 및 동해시와 연관된 시책사업을 발굴해, 국비 등 사업 재원을 확보, 지역사회와 관련된 각종 현안사업을 원활하게 추진해 나간다는 방침이라고 전했다.

보고회에서는 작년 12월부터 현재까지 사업부서에서 발굴한 신규사업 25건, 계속사업 7건에 대한 논의와 동해비전2040을 기조로 정부 및 강원도 정책방향과 연계한 스마트·그린·사회적·지역균형 등 뉴딜사업, 미래성장동력사업을 추가적으로 발굴하기 위한 토의를 진행할 예정이라고 했다.

현재까지 신규 발굴한 사업은 지방상수도 현대화(591억), 묵호·어달분구 하수관로 정비(335억), 이원정수장 시설개량(322억), 공공임대형 지식산업센터 건립(300억), 화물자동차 공영차고지 조성(160억), 송정지구 도시재생(150억), 전지훈련 특화시설 설치(100억), 혁신지원센터 구축(80억), 항만기반 수소충전소 유치(80억), 공사장 생활폐기물 선별시설 설치(80억) 등이라고 했다.

동해시는 오는 17일 ΄23년도 이후 정부예산 확충을 위해 기획재정부 간부 공무원을 초청해 직원들을 대상으로 국비확보 필승 전략 특강을 진행하고, 현재까지 발굴한 신규사업의 재원확보를 위한 사업별 맞춤형 컨설팅과 함께, 코로나19 완전 회복, 탄소중립, 디지털 전환 등 미래형 경제구조 대전환을 위한 주요 사업의 지속적인 발굴과 재원확보에 총력을 다할 계획이라고 했다.
