[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2월 9일 동해시의회는 제315회 동해시의회 임시회 제3차 업무보고회를 개최하고, 경제과, 미래전략과, 관광과, 해양수산과 등 4개 부서에 대한 업무보고를 청취했다고 밝혔다.

박남순 의원은 “어떤 물건이 어디에 있는지 정확하게 알 수 없어 길을 헤매거나 가지 않는 경우가 많다. 전통시장 점포 데이터베이스를 구축하고 전통시장 방문 유도 및 방문 고객에게 정보를 제공하기 위한 전통시장지도를 제작할 필요성이 있다”고 제안했다.

이정학 의원은 “그동안 사회적 경제 기업의 양적 확대에 힘을 쏟아왔다. 이제는 질적 성장에 집중하여 변화하는 환경에 발맞는 지속성장 가능한 사회적 경제 기업 발굴·육성에 더욱 집중하여 지역 내 선순환 경제 안착을 도모해야한다”고 독려했다.

임응택 의원은 “지역사랑상품권 ‘동해페이’는 국비 예산에 민감한 사업이다. 국비 지원이 줄면 발행 규모나 혜택이 줄어들 수 밖에 없는 구조이며, 향후 국비 축소가 예상되므로 이에 대한 대비책을 미리 강구해야한다”고 요구했다.

최석찬 의원은 ”간담회 등을 통하여 코로나19로 침체된 지역경제, 상인 내부 갈등, 대형 유통시설과의 경쟁 등 전통시장이 겪고 있는 애로사항을 공유하고 의견을 모아 전통시장의 경쟁력 강화 및 상생·소통 방안을 마련해야한다“고 당부했다.

이창수 의원은 무릉별유천지 야간경관 명소화 사업을 언급하며 ”야간경관 사업도 좋지만, 별보기·달보기 체험, 야간 출사 등 무릉별유천지의 지형적 특성을 살리면서 숙박을 전제로 하는 야간관광상품 개발 등 다양한 시도가 필요하다“고 제안했다.

최재석 의원은 ”북평산업단지는 ‘수소 저장 및 운송 클러스터 구축사업’ 수행에 있어 최적의 사업 여건을 갖추고 있는 수소 클러스터 사업대상지이다. 동해시의 수소 산업 활성화 추진에 있어 지역 기업이 동반 성장할 수 있도록 적극적 행정 지원 방안을 강구해달라“고 요청했다.

김기하 의원 또한 ”액화수소 검사지원센터 유치에 행정력을 집중해주기 바라며, 수소 기반시설을 중심으로 관련 기업의 유입과 양질의 일자리 창출에 힘써주기 바란다“고 말했다.
