[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2월 8일에 강원도는 전국 최초로 산불․태풍․폭설․지진 등의 재난 유형에 따라 각기 운영하고 있는 재난 예․경보시설을 통합하여 위험 상황을 조기 판단하고 도민에게 재난 상황을 신속히 알리기 위한『GIS기반 지능형 재난 예․경보 통합시스템 구축 사업』착수보고회를 최복수 행정부지사 주재로 개최했다고 밝혔다.

강원도에서 본 사업착수를 위해 2021년 행정안전부 공모사업에 참가하여 5억 원의 교부세를 확보하고 행정안전부가 ’18년부터 60억 원을 투자하여 개발한 “차세대 예․경보통합플랫폼” 표준 프로토콜을 전국 최초로 적용하는 사업을 추진하게 됐다고 했다. 

이를 기반으로 도내 기상관측, 수위계측, 지진계측시스템 등 8종의 재난대응시스템을 통합하여 재난정보를 사전에 수집하고, 위험상황을 종합 예측 분석하여 강원도가 운영하고 있는 예․경보시설 5종 2,454식을 통해 도민에게 신속히 알려 재난 대응 능력을 강화할 계획이라고 했다.

최복수 행정부지사는 지속해서 첨단기술을 재난 안전 분야에 적극적으로 활용하여 강원도가 전국에서 가장 안전하고 살기 좋은 지역으로 거듭날 수 있도록 강원도만의 특화된 재난시스템이 될 수 있도록 발전시키겠다고 밝혔다.
