[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시는 정확한 주소정보를 제공해 시민의 안전을 지키고 생활 편의를 증진하기 위해 주소정보 업무 종합 추진계획을 수립·추진한다고 밝혔다.

주요 내용으로는 주소정보시설이 부족한 이면도로, 교차로, 횡단보도 등에 도로명판을 확충하는 한편, 매년 실시하는 주소정보 안내시설물 일제 조사를 통해 훼손 및 망실된 안내시설물을 정비할 방침이라고 했다.

특히, 올해부터 버스정류장, 택시승강장과 같은 교통시설과 지진 옥외 대피장소, 지진해일 대피장소와 같은 안전시설 등 총 559개의 시설에 사물주소판을 전면 설치할 계획으로, 기존 건물에 부여한 도로명주소와 더불어 시설물에 부여하는 사물주소를 통해 생활 밀착형 주소체계 고도화를 추진할 예정이라고 했다.

이 밖에도 산악ㆍ하천 등에 설치된 국가지점번호판 일제조사를 추진해 정확한 국가지점번호 정보 제공으로 각종 구조활동에 어려움이 없도록 지원할 방침이라고 했다.

김재희 민원과장은 “주소정보 업무 종합 추진계획을 수립하여 주소정보 업무를 안정적으로 운영하고 포털사이트, 내비게이션 등 시민들이 접할 수 있는 플랫폼에 정확한 정보를 제공하여 주소정보 활용도를 높일 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
