[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시와 연세대학교 원주산학협력단에서는 학성동 도시재생사업의 일환으로 지난해에 이어 ‘2022년 학성갤러리 전시 프로젝트’를 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로젝트는 학성동 도시재생사업의 붐업 조성은 물론 지역 문화예술인의 관심과 참여를 높이고 지역주민 문화예술 향유 제공을 목적으로 한다고 했다.

학성동 도시재생사업과 문화예술에 관심 있는 개인과 단체를 대상으로 하며, 2월 9일부터 17일까지 총 19팀을 선착순으로 공개 모집한다고 했다.

전시는 4월부터 12월까지 9개월간 진행되며, 전시 참여자로 선정되면 팀별 2주간의 학성갤러리 대관료와 갤러리 외부 현수막 제작비용을 지원받게 된다고 했다.

신청 및 제출서류 등 자세한 내용은 원주시청 타기관 공고/고시 및 학성동 도시재생현장지원센터 블로그에서 확인할 수 있다고 전했다.

한편 지난해 학성갤러리 전시 프로젝트에는 전시명‘학성동이여 비상하라’ 등 총 16팀이 참여했으며, 방명록에 등록된 방문객 수만 총 1,303명에 달하여 소기의 성과를 거둔 바 있다고 했다.

아울러, 3월 4일부터 30일까지 학성동 역전시장 일원에 입주한 작가들이 모여 준비하는 올해 첫 전시회를 개최할 예정이다. 평일 오전 10시부터 오후 5시, 주말 오후 4시까지 관람할 수 있으며, 공휴일은 휴관한다고 전했다.

정태영 학성동 도시재생현장지원센터장은 “올해도 학성갤러리가 지역 문화예술인을 위한 열린 공간으로서 많은 사랑을 받을 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라며, “학성갤러리가 지역예술인과 주민을 연결하는 커뮤니티 공간으로 거듭나기를 바란다”라고 말했다.
