[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시는 「기초생활보장(맞춤형) 주거급여」의 투명하고 효율적인 제도 운영을 위해 수급자 사후관리에 나선다고 밝혔다.

주거급여는 기준중위소득 46% 이하 저소득 취약계층에 대해 전․월세가구 임차급여와 자가가구 수선급여(집수리) 등 주거비를 지원하는 국가 차원의 사회보장급여로서 선정기준 완화와 최저보장 수준 강화 등 매년 지원을 확대해나가고 있다고 했다.

동해시는 주거급여 취지에 맞는 내실 있는 제도 운영으로 저소득 취약계층의 주거안정과 주거수준 향상을 위해 복지과 통합조사팀과 한국토지주택공사(주택조사전담기관)의 협조로 정기 확인조사를 실시하고 있으며, 상시 부정수급 신고도 접수·처리하고 있다고 전했다.

지난해 확인조사와 신고를 통해 87건의 부정수급을 확인했으며, 이들 대부분은 근로활동으로 인한 일시적 소득 발생 등으로 시는 부정수급 보장 비용에 대해 환수 절차를 진행하는 한편, 법 위반에 해당하는 3건에 대해서는 수사기관에 고발 조치했다고 했다.

또, 동해시는 주거급여 신규 신청에 따른 보장결정 통지 시 안내문(지원내용, 선정기준, 신고의무 및 협조사항 등)을 제작해 함께 발송하는 등 부정수급 방지를 위해 사후관리뿐 아니라 수급자 선정과 급여지급 단계에서도 다각적인 노력을 기울이고 있다고 전했다.
