평창군 경제건설국장을 단장으로 하는 재해예방사업 조기추진단은 우기 전 주요 사업의 완공을 유도하여 재해로부터 피해를 최소화하고, 재해예방사업 추진에 따른 토지보상 등 각종 행정절차 이행, 부실시공 방지 등을 위해 체계적으로 지도·관리할 방침이며, 군이 2022년 추진하는 재해예방사업은 재해위험개선지구 1개소, 급경사지 붕괴위험지역 3개소, 풍수해생활권 종합정비사업 1개소, 소하천 정비사업 2개소 등 총 7개 사업으로, 총163억의 예산이 투입된다고 했다.
