[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 5월부터 평창군은 2022년 보건기관 3개소에 대하여 증축 공사를 실시할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

군은 2021년 지역보건기관 증축 공모사업에 선정되어 국·도비 등 24억 원을 확보하였으며, 이를 위한 부지매입도 완료한 상태다고 했다. 

이번 증축공사추진은 협소한 건강생활지원센터를 개선하기 위한 증축과 대화·봉평보건지소를 기존 진료기능을 유지하면서 건강증진사업을 확대한 건강증진형 보건지소로 증축하며, 오는 10월경 증축공사가 완료되면, 건강생활지원센터는 인지재활프로그램 운영을 위한 북부권 분소 설치와 맘앤키즈센터 등의 운영 공간으로 추가 사용할 계획이고, 건강증진형 보건지소는 건강증진사업을 위한 공간으로써 지역의 건강문제 해결을 위한 거점기관으로 운영해, 건강증진사업을 활성화한다는 계획이라고 전했다. 

장재석 평창군보건의료원장은 “앞으로 보건기관은 치료중심의 진료사업에서 예방을 위한 건강증진 보건사업의 패러다임 전환이 필요하다.”며, “이번 증축을 통해 건강생활지원센터와 건강증진형 보건지소가 지역의 다양한 건강 욕구 해소에 큰 역할을 할 것으로 기대한다.”고 말했다.
