[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 평창군은 평창군정신건강복지센터가 2021년 강원도에서 주관한 정신보건사업 우수기관으로 선정되었다고 밝혔다.

평창군정신건강복지센터는 2020년까지 민간위탁을 종료하고 2021년부터는 평창군에서 직영으로 전환하여 운영하고 있으며, 이번 우수기관 선정에서는 정신건강증진 인식개선사업, 중증질환자 관리, 정신건강복지법 변경시행에 따른 대응 등 분야별 평가에서  우수한 실적을 평가받아 선정되었고, 또한, 지난 11월에는 자살예방사업 중 ‘일산화탄소설치 보급사업’에서도 우수기관으로 선정되어 포상을 받은 바 있다고 했다.

평창군정신건강복지센터 관계자는 “자살, 음주 등 정신과적 응급문제에 대하여 자타의 위협이 있는 고위험군 대상자를 코로나검사를 한 후 검체를 직접 보건환경연구원으로 직접 이송하여 응급으로 신속히 처리하는 등 정신과적 입원대기 시간을 단축하여 정신적 고위험 대상자가 입원을 할 수 있도록 적극적 민원 처리를 하고 있으며, 정신건강복지법 변경 시행에 따른 인권강화 및 정신질환자 입·퇴원 등을 철처히 관리하고 있다.”고 밝혔다.

장재석 평창군보건의료원장은 “앞으로도 지속적으로 정신건강사업을 추진해 군민의 행복지수를 높이고 소중한 생명을 지켜나갈 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
