[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강릉시는 한 해 동안 청소년포상제 활동이 우수한 포상센터에게 주어지는「2021년 강원도 청소년포상제 우수 포상센터」에‘강릉시청소년문화의집’이 선정되었다고 밝혔다.

청소년성취포상제는 만14~24세 청소년이 참여가 가능한 국제청소년성취포상제와 만7세~15세 청소년이 참여 가능한 청소년자기도전포상제를 총칭하는 말로, 봉사활동, 자기개발, 신체단련, 탐험활동 총 4개의 분야에서 청소년들이 스스로 목표를 설정하고 달성하면 국가 기관에서 포상을 해주는 청소년 자기성장 프로그램이라고 했다.

강릉시청소년문화의집 청소년방과후아카데미는 총 9명의 청소년들을 대상으로 방과후아카데미 프로그램과 연계하여 청소년성취포상제를 운영하고 있다고 전했다.

신체단련(K-POP댄스), 자기개발활동(칼림바 배우기, 3D 및 코스페이시스 배우기), 봉사활동(방과후 아카데미 급식 보조 봉사활동)을 진행하고 있으며, 22년 주말체험활동과 연계하여 탐험활동도 진행할 예정이라고 했다. 

강릉시 관계자는“청소년방과후아카데미 청소년이 아닌 일반 청소년 대상으로도 국제청소년성취포상제 운영을 계획하고 있으며, 22년 운영을 위해 포상제 활동을 준비중이다”고 말했다.
