[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 9일 북부지방산림청은 소속공무원이 1년간의 개발과정을 통하여 다양한 산림작업이 가능한 산림병해충 방제전문장비(다기능 3단봉)를 자체적으로 개발‧제작(20대)하여 병해충 방제기관에 보급했다고 밝혔다. 

최근 기후변화로 인해 농림지 및 생활권주변 등에 국지적으로 대발생하는 등 돌발해충(매미나방)으로 인해 농림지뿐만 아니라 주민들에게 많은 피해를 주고 있어 돌발해충에 대한 효과적인 방제방법 마련이 요구되는 상황이라고 했다.

이를 해결하고자 북부지방산림청 담당공무원은 1개의 알덩어리 300～500마리의 해충을 제거하는 효과가 있다는 것에 착안하여 친환경적이면서 효과적으로 난괴를 제거할 수 있는 산림병해충 제전문장비 ‘다기능 3단봉’을 개발했다고 했다.
