[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 15일부터 12월 2일까지 포천시는 신북면 힐데루시 자연치유농장에서 관내 60세 이상 어르신을 대상으로 노인자살예방사업 심리상담 프로그램을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

포천시는 노인자살률 감소를 위해 자살 고위험군 어르신들을 대상으로 집단상담과 스토리텔링을 통해 잠재된 우울감을 해소하고 자아존중감을 회복하는 프로그램을 운영했다고 했다.

포천시자살예방센터와 연계 진행한 이번 프로그램은 푸드테라피, 반려식물 가꾸기, 아로마테라피, 플라워테라피 등 다양한 소재를 활용해 24명의 어르신들에게 자신을 소중히 여기며 희망을 담을 수 있는 시간을 제공했다고 전했다.

프로그램에 참여한 한 어르신은 “자존감을 키우고 삶의 소중함을 다시 한번 깨닫는 기회가 되었다.”라고 소감을 밝혔다.
