이번에 선발하는 산불재난특수진화대는 북부지방산림청 소속 6개 국유림관리소(춘천ㆍ홍천ㆍ서울ㆍ수원ㆍ인제ㆍ민북지역관리소)에 배치하여 운영할 계획으로, 12월 초부터 관리소별로 응시원서를 접수받아 서류심사, 체력검정, 면접심사를 통해 최종 선발한다고 했다.
