‘농산물 안전분석실’은 소비자들에게 안전한 농산물을 공급할 수 있도록 농산물 출하 전 총 320가지의 잔류농약 성분을 분석하는 과학영농 지원시설로 총 사업비 10억 원을 투입, 농업기술센터 내 설치를 완료했다고 전했다.

양주시는 지난 2019년 농약 허용물질 목록관리제도 PLS 시행과 더불어 향후 잔류농약 검사항목 확대 조치에 대응해 출하 전 검사 건수를 늘려 부적합 농산물 생산을 조기 차단할 수 있는 지원시스템을 구축할 계획이고, 또한 분석결과에 따라 농산물 수확‧출하시기와 농약사용량 등을 조절해 허용기준 초과로 인한 농가의 불이익을 사전에 차단하는 동시에 철저한 성분관리로 지역 농산물에 대한 신뢰도를 높일 수 있을 것으로 내다보고 있다고 했다.

잔류농약 분석을 희망하는 농업인은 대상작물 0.5~1㎏을 채취해 농산물 안전분석실에 검사를 의뢰하며 5일 이내로 성분검사 결과를 통보받을 수 있으며, 기타 자세한 사항은 양주시 농업기술센터 기술지원과 친환경미생물팀으로 문의하면 안내받을 수 있다고 했다.
