[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 11월 30일 15시 강원도는 “균형발전과 강원 미래산업의 희망”이라는 주제로 「강원 규제자유특구 성과 보고회」를 춘천 스카이컨벤션홀에서 관련기업 임직원 및 대학, 유관기관 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 보고회는 2019년 규제자유특구 제도가 시행되고 처음으로 열리는 행사로 전국 최다 특구를 지정·운영 중에 있는 강원도 규제자유특구에 대한 유공자 포상과 함께, 3개 특구에 대한 추진경과 보고 및 각 특구별로 현장 사례발표 등이 진행된다고 했다. 

특히, 이번 보고회에서는 제1차로 지정받은 디지털헬스케어 규제자유특구(`19. 7. 지정)를 중심으로 특구 사업의 가시적 성과들에 대해서 보고가 진행될 예정이라고 했다. 

주목할 만한 가시적인 성과들로는 3개 특구관련 매출액이 2019년도에 약 48억 원에서 2021년 현재 420억 원으로 8.8배 증가했고 신규 고용 측면에서도 2019년 44명에서 2021년에는 166명으로 4배나 증가했으며, 관련 기업도 특구 시행 초기 8개사에 불과했으나 특구 지정 후 관련기업 유치 및 창업에 주력하여 2021년도에는 41개사로 5배 증가했다고 했다. 

이와 함께, 국비확보(365억 원), 특구사업자에 대한 벤처투자 유치(431억 원) 성공 등, 특구 관련 산업생태계가 빠르게 조성되고 있다는 점이라고 했다. 

이날 행사에는, 특구사업자들이 개발하여 상품화에 성공한 제품들도 일부 전시되어 참가자들에게 규제자유특구에 대한 이해와 관심을 모을 계획이라고 했다.

최복수 행정부지사는 “강원도가 지정받은 규제자유특구는 모두 4차 산업혁명 기반의 첨단산업으로 우리 도 뿐만 아니라 우리나라 미래 먹거리를 책임질 분야”라고 강조하며, “강원도의 산업 생태계 지도를 바꾸어 줄 규제자유특구의 성공적 추진과 가시적 성과 창출을 위해서 다함께 힘을 모으자고 당부”하면서 강원 규제자유특구가 반드시 성공할 수 있도록 앞장서겠다고 밝혔다.
