이날 행사에서는 친환경 연막방제, 난괴 제거 , 끈끈이포충기, 그물망트랩, 지능형 자주식 목재파쇄기 등 현장 체감형 산림병해충 방제장비(기기)를 선보였으며, 기후변화 대응 방제전략, 친환경 방제방법, 선진 방제기술, 피해목 수집‧활용방안 등의 발전방안을 마련했다고 전했다.

이번에 선보인 방제장비(기기) 중 다양한 산림작업이 가능한 ‘다기능 3단봉’은 현장의 불편함을 해소하고자 올해 상반기에 북부지방산림청이 자체적으로 개발한 일체형 방제장비로 참석자들의 많은 관심과 이목을 받았다고 했다.

최수천 북부지방산림청장은 “산림생태계의 건전성 유지를 위해서는 환경 친화적인 병해충 방제기술이 요구된다고 전하면서, 식물추출물 약제사용, 미생물‧천적 등을 활용한 생물적 방제방법 등 친환경 방제기술이 현장에 적용될 수 있도록 지속적으로 발굴‧확대해 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.
