[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 6월 29일 북부지방산림청은 강원도 인제군 인제읍 원대리에 위치한 자작나무 명품숲 내 주요시설에서 코로나-19 방역 현장 점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

아름다운 순백의 자작나무 명품숲은 산림청에서 직접 조림하여 운영·관리하는 숲으로, 2012년 개장 이후 연간 30∼40만여 명이 방문하는 산림 명소로 코로나-19 방역지침을 준수하며 운영하고 있다고 했다.

현장 점검은 자작나무숲 안내센터에서 출입자 명부 작성·관리 및 손 소독제 비치 여부 등을 확인하고 국민들이 주로 이용하는 시설(전망대, 야외무대, 숲속교실 등)에 대해 직접 방역을 실시하는 등 코로나-19 중점 방역 수칙 준수 여부를 확인하는 방식으로 진행되었다고 했다.

최수천 북부지방산림청장은 “코로나-19 확산 여건 속에서도 철저한 방역을 통해, 국민들이 안전하게 국립 산림다중이용시설을 이용할 수 있도록 만전을 기하겠다.”라며 “국민들 또한 코로나-19가 완전히 종식될 때까지는 발열 체크, 마스크 착용 등 기본적인 개인 방역 수칙을 철저히 지켜주시길 당부 드린다.”라고 말했다.
