[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 10일 경기도의회 건설교통위원회 김종배 의원은 경기도의회 제352회 정례회 제3차 본회의 도정질의를 통해 경기도 건설현장 사고사망 감소 방안, 경기도 중소기업의 경쟁력 강화 및 시흥시 장애인 특수학교 건립 등을 제안했다고 밝혔다.

김 의원은 준비한 산재사고 및 건설현장 사망사고 현황자료를 제시하며 “전국 산재사고와 건설현장 사고가 줄지 않고 있으며, 특히 경기도의 경우 전국대비 사망자수와 비율이 심각한 수준이다”며 “대표적인 원인으로는 건설업의 다단계 하도급 구조, 안전조치가 묵살되는 관행 및 사업주에 대한 솜방망이 처벌이다”고 지적했다.
