[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 오는 22일 오전 10시 30분부터 동두천시 평생교육원은 동두천시 평생학습관 2층 공연장에서 개그맨이자 다문화강사인 정철규 강사를 초청해, ‘지금은 다문화시대’라는 주제로, 2021년 제2회 동두천시민대학을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 강좌는 여러 다문화 사례를 통해 우리 사회에 퍼진 다문화에 대한 인식과 태도를 짚어보고, 다양한 문화가 공존하는 다문화 사회를 만들기 위한 내용으로 진행될 예정이라고 말했다.

최용덕 시장은 “이번 다문화 강좌를 통해 시민들이 다문화에 대한 바른 이해와 공감을 가지는 계기가 될 것을 기대한다”며, “앞으로도 다문화 관련 강좌를 꾸준히 추진하여, 동두천시가 성숙한 통합사회로 나아가도록 최선을 다할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

한편, 올해 강좌는 코로나19에 대응하고자 대면 및 비대면 교육으로 진행되며, 대면교육은 사전접수를 통해 50명으로 제한하고, 비대면 교육은 사전접수 없이 유튜브에서 동두천시를 검색하고 실시간으로 시청할 수 있도록 진행된다고 했다. 

이번 대면교육은 동두천시 평생교육원 홈페이지에서 오는 6월 14일부터 선착순 50명의 사전접수를 시작하며, 거리두기 2.5단계 상향 시 대면교육 없이 동두천시 유튜브 방송만 진행될 예정이라고 했다.
