[김택곤 기자=영월군] 영월군 농업축산과에서는 내수면어업법에 따라 겨울철 다슬기 포획금지 기간을 위반하여 다슬기를 잡거나 작살 또는 잠수용 스쿠버 장비를 사용해서 쏘가리 등 물고기를 잡는 행위의 집중단속에 들어갔다.

다슬기가 겨울잠에 들어가는 12월 1일부터 다음 해 2월 28일까지 포획이 금지될 뿐만 아니라 각고 1.5cm이하는 연중 포획할 수 없다. 이를 위반하게 되면 1년 이하의 징역 또는 1천만원 이하의 벌금에 처하게 되어 있다. 

내수면 어족자원 보호와 유어질서 확립을 위하여 강원도 수산자원보호명예감시관과 담당 공무원이 협력하여 주야간 집중단속을 실시하고 있으며 위반자는 영월경찰서에 고발하거나 과태료를 부과한다고 밝혔다.
