[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 북부지방산림청은 23일 오전 10시30분부터 북부지방산림청 청사에서 청사 테러상황 대응 훈련(화학물질 및 방화)을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

을지 자유의 방패 연습과 연계한 이번 훈련은 전시 및 평시에 청사 방화 등 다양한 방향의 테러에서 국민의 생명을 보호하기 위한 대응하기 위해 실시했다.

또한, 원주 소방서에서 협조하고 원주시민이 직접 참여하여 실제와 같은 훈련을 전개함으로써 청사 화재 및 산불 발생 시 혼란을 최소화하고 신속·정확한 대응 역량을 제고했다.

특히, 북부지방산림청은 코로나19 이후 감염병 확산 방지를 위해 축소 운영하던 을지연습이 3년 만에 재개한 만큼 다양한 훈련을 통해 전시상황에 보다 철저하게 대비한다.

임하수 북부지방산림청장은 “국가 비상상황에 국민의 생명과 재산을 안전하게 보호하기 위해 북부지방산림청의 역할에 최선을 다할 것이다.”며, “25일까지 을지 자유의 방패 연습에 실전과 같이 임하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
