[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시는 6월부터 시민들의 대중교통 이용에 비용 절감을 위해 ‘알뜰교통카드 마일리지 지원사업’을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

‘알뜰교통카드 마일리지 지원사업’이란, 대중교통 이용 시 보행·자전거 이동 거리에 비례해 교통비의 최대 20%를 마일리지로 지급하고 협업 카드사에서 실적 충족 시 교통비의 10%를 지원해주는 사업이라고 전했다.

집에서 출발할 때 알뜰교통카드 앱에서 ‘출발 버튼’을 눌러 이용 등록을 하고 대중교통을 이용한 후 목적지에 도착하면 ‘도착 버튼’을 눌러 실적을 등록하는 방식이라고 했다.

원주시에 주소를 둔 원주시민만 이용할 수 있으며, 알뜰교통카드(신한, 우리, 하나)를 발급받은 후 알뜰교통카드와 앱을 사용해 월 15회 이상 대중교통을 이용하면 된다고 했다.

한종태 대중교통과장은 “원주시민의 건강과 교통비 절감에 큰 도움을 줄 수 있는 이번 사업에 시민들의 많은 참여를 바란다.”라고 말했다.
