[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 5월 18일부터 6월 15일까지, 의정부시 정보도서관은 세계문화를 주제로 한 다문화 이해 독서프로그램을 운영한다고 밝혔다. 

이번 프로그램은 초등학교 1~2학년 대상의 ‘그림책과 함께 세계여행’과 초등학교 3~4학년 대상의 ‘온 세상 문화 이야기’로 구분해 진행한다고 했다.

세계문화에 대한 그림책을 함께 보며, 재미있는 독후활동 체험으로 어린이들에게 문화의 다양성을 느껴볼 수 있는 시간을 제공할 예정이라고 전했다.

도서관 관계자는 “이번 프로그램을 통해 어린이들이 타인을 이해하고 존중할 수 있는 마음과 다문화 인식 개선에 도움이 되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.

프로그램 신청은 오는 5월 4일 오전 10시부터 정보도서관 홈페이지에서 할 수 있으며, 다문화 가정 아동은 전화로도 접수할 수 있다. 기타 궁금한 사항은 정보도서관으로 문의하면 된다고 전했다.
