[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강릉시는 아동급식카드 가맹점 신청절차 간소화 및 신청 편의를 위해 온라인 신청 시스템을 도입한다고 밝혔다.

아동급식카드는 결식 우려가 있는 만 18세 미만의 취학 및 미취학 아동이 강릉시 지역 음식점 등에서 다양한 음식을 선택해 먹을 수 있도록 지원하는 전자카드로써 강릉시에는 현재 900여 명의 아동이 지원받고 있으며, 현재 아동급식카드 가맹점은 모두 492개로, 그 동안 아동급식카드 가맹점 신청을 원하는 사업자는 사업장 소재지의 읍면동 주민센터를 직접 방문해야 했으나, 직접 방문해야 하는 불편을 개선하기 위해 온라인 신청 시스템을 도입하게 됐고, 가맹점 신청을 원하는 사업자는 홈페이지에 접속하여 신청정보를 입력하면, 시의 승인을 거쳐 가맹점으로 등록된다고 전했다.

김복희 아동보육과장은 “아동급식카드 온라인 신청 시스템 도입을 통해 가맹점 수가 점차 확대될 것으로 기대하며, 결식 우려 아동의 급식 선택권 보장을 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
