[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 춘천시정부는 2022년 시민주도 춘천 가꾸미 사업 신청지 현장 심사를 진행, 최종 적합지를 결정했다고 밝혔다.

시민주도 춘천 가꾸미 사업은 시민 스스로 녹지를 가꿔 아름다운 마을 경관을 조성하는 것으로, 시민 참여형 도시숲 조성으로 시민의식과 애향심을 높이기 위해 마련했다고 했다.

춘천시정부에 따르면 지난 2009년부터 2021년까지 850개소에 교목 1만3,153그루, 관목 44만6,583그루, 초화 69만878본 등이 지원됐으며, 올해는 13개 읍면동에서 45개소가 신청을 했고, 식재수종 적정 여부 등을 심사한 결과 35개소가 적합 판정을 받았다고 전했다.

적합지에 대해 교목 361그루, 관목 2만170그루를 모두 식재 완료했으며, 사업비 잔액에 대한 추가 지원을 계획하고 있다고 했다. 

춘천시정부 관계자는 “도시숲은 경관의 의미를 넘어 힐링 공간으로 자리매김하고 있다.” 라며 “앞으로도 다양한 가꾸미 사업을 펼쳐나갈 것” 이라고 말했다.
