[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시는 관내 중소기업, 소상공인 및 개인발명가의 특허, 디자인, 상표 등 지식재산권 확보를 위해 권리화 지원 사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

원주시는 자금 및 인력 부족 등으로 지식재산권 권리 획득에 어려움을 겪는 중소기업과 시민에게 상담 및 컨설팅, 예산 등을 지원하기 위해 올해 8,000만 원의 사업비를 확보했다고 했다.

지원 대상은 관내 중소기업 및 소상공인과 2021년 12월 31일 이전 주민등록상 주소지가 원주시로 등록된 개인발명가이며, 강원지식재산센터에 이메일로 신청서를 제출하면 서류 검토 및 사전컨설팅을 통해 지원 대상자가 선정된다고 했다.

한편 원주시는 지난해 31건의 지식재산권에 대한 권리화 사업을 추진해 약 6,000만 원의 예산을 지원한 바 있으며,자세한 사항은 강원도경제진흥원 강원지식재산센터 홈페이지 공고를 확인하거나 전화로 문의하면 된다고 전했다.

김용호 경제문화국장은 “지식재산권에 대한 독점적 권리확보를 통해 산업 경쟁력 강화는 물론 지역경제 활성화에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.”라며, “점진적인 사업 확대를 통해 더 많은 기업과 시민이 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.
