[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 3월 18일 14시에 ‘설악면 한갑골길 76-20’에 위치한 베이커리 스타트업 생제비공동체은 관내 아동 공부방 1개소에 천연효모빵 3종 30개를 기탁하였다고 밝혔다.

생제비 공동체는 지난 2019년 4월 설악면지역사회보장협의체와 업무협약 이후 1년간 생제비빵을 후원하여 왔고, 2020년 4월에 ‘따뜻한 동행 행복 설악면’ 가게로 지정되었으나, 코로나19 바이러스 확산이 계속되면서 개별 접촉의 제한과 함께 활동이 잠시 중단 되었고, 대면 접촉을 줄여서 기탁할 수 있는 방법을 고민하여 왔다고 했다. 

그리고 22년 3월부터 관내 다문화 가구 아동이 이용하는 공부방 1개소에, 대면 접촉을 최소화할 수 있는 일괄 분류·포장·배송의 방식으로 기탁을 이어 나가기로 하였다고 전했다.

이날 생제비공동체 이계충 대표는 “생제비빵은 우리쌀로 고두밥을 지어 가평의 맑은 물과 누룩을 혼합, 발효과정을 거쳐 우리쌀빵의 베이스가 되는 천연발효종이 만들어지는데, 이 천연발효종과 우리쌀이 만나고 많은 발효과정과 정성스런 손길을 거쳐 향미는 풍부해지고 소화력이 우수한 가평쌀빵이다.”라며 빵에 대한 남다른 자부심을 전하였고,  “가평의 대표 농산물 친환경 쌀로 직접 만든 자연효모로 만든 건강한 빵을, 지역 아동들의 한 끼의 간식으로 제공하고 소통할 수 있게 되어 마음이 더 즐겁다. 앞으로도 지역사회를 향한 나눔문화 실천을 위해 동참하겠다.”고 전하였다.
