불법주기 단속 시, 누적 적발 횟수에 따라 5만 원에서 최고 30만 원의 과태료가 부과되며, 지속적인 단속을 통해 건설기계 운전자에 대한 경각심을 고취시키고 올바른 주기 문화를 독려해 쾌적하고 안전한 교통환경 조성에 힘쓸 예정이라고 했다.
