[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도는 코로나-19 장기화로 경영에 큰 어려움을 겪고 있는 전통시장, 소상공인 지원사업으로 특별 전담인력을 지원하는‘2022년 전통시장 지킴이 사업’에 도비를 포함 34억 원을 투입, 전통시장 경영․안전․방역 관리를 지원하고 있다고 밝혔다.

전통시장 지킴이들은 지금까지 도내 44개 전통시장에 총 118명이 채용되거나 채용 진행되고 있으며, 특히 오미크론 변종으로 코로나-19 확산세가 지속됨에 따라 전통시장 방역활동 지원에 총력을 기울인다는 방침이라고 했다.

또한, 중소벤처기업부에서 지원하는 소상공인 방역지원금도 2월 현재 도내 소상공인 15,000여 명이 신청하여 약 1,050억 원이 지급 진행 중이며, 1개 업체 당 최대 10만원을 지급하는 소상공인 방역물품 구입비 지원 사업도 현재 13,500여 사업체에서 신청하는 등 방역지원 사업도 함께 추진하고 있다고 했다.

최기철 강원도 경제진흥과장은“오미크론 변이 확산 등으로 도내 전통시장 등이 방역에 어려움을 겪고 있는 상황에서 전통시장 지킴이, 방역물품비 지원과 함께, 내주(2. 22.(화)) 강원도 상인연합회 등과의 간담회를 통해 애로․건의사항을 파악하는 등 방역 지원방안을 강구 하겠다”고 말했다.
