[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시는 전기자전거의 보급 촉진 및 이용 활성화를 위하여 전기자전거 구입 보조금을 지원한다고 밝혔다.

지원대상은 공고일(2022. 2. 18.) 기준 만 18세 이상으로, 원주에 2년 이상 주민등록을 두고 거주한 자로, 2021년 사업참여자는 제외된다고 했다.

오는 2월 18일부터 3월 4일까지 원주시 홈페이지를 통해 신청 가능하며, 무작위 전자추첨으로 지원 대상자 50명을 선정하여 구입비용의 50%, 최대 30만 원의 보조금을 지원할 예정이라고 했다.

원주시 관내 판매점을 통해서 구입한 제품에 한하여 지원이 가능하여 지역경제 활성화에도 도움이 될 것이라고 전했다.

원주시 관계자는“전기자전거 구입 보조금 지원사업으로 자전거가 출퇴근 등 생활형 교통수단으로 많이 활용되어 탄소중립 그린도시 조성 기반을 마련하는 계기가 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.
