[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시는 2월부터 6월까지 5개월간 미세먼지 불법 배출 예방·감시를 위해 민간점검반을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

지난 1월 시에 채용된 민간점검원 21명은 미세먼지 불법 배출 예방을 위해 공사장 비산먼지 억제 조치 시행 여부를 점검하며, 영농폐기물 적정 처리를 지원하고 불법 소각행위에 대해 현장 계도한다고 전했다.

또한 사업장·공사장 폐자재 불법 소각행위, 운행 경유차 배출가스 단속, 고농도 미세먼지 비상저감조치 이행 여부 확인 등 현장 점검과 계도 업무를 하게 된다고 했다.

신철훈 기후에너지과장은 “민간점검반 운영으로 미세먼지 발생을 억제하고 쾌적한 환경을 조성할 수 있도록 하겠다.”라고 말했다.
