[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시는 노인·장애·한부모가정 등으로 생활에 어려움을 겪고 있는 저소득주민의 경제적 부담 경감을 위해 국민건강보험료 및 노인장기요양보험료를 지원한다고 밝혔다.

지원대상은 동해시에 주소지를 둔 국민건강보험공단 동해시 지역가입자로서 비 수급권자 중 생활이 어려운 주민등록상 65세 이상 노인세대, “장애인복지법”에 따른 등록 장애인이 있는 세대, “한부모가족지원법”에 따른 모·부자가족 또는 조손가족 중 어느 하나에 해당하는 세대라고 했다.

지원기준은 월 보험료 최저보험료 미만인 가구이며, 시는 국민건강보험공단으로부터 통보받은 보험료 부과 관련 자료를 토대로 지원대상자 적격여부를 심사해 지원하게 된다고 했다.

지난해에는 9,236가구에 8천9백만원을 지원하였으며, 올해는 1만여가구에 1억 8백만원 가량을 지원할 것으로 예상하고 있다고 전했다.

권순찬 복지과장은 “저소득주민 건강보험료 지원사업이 생활이 어려운 노인, 장애인, 한부모 가정의 경제적 부담을 줄이고, 복지사각지대 없는 행복한 복지 동해 실현에 기여하게 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.
