[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시가 석재의 채취·가공 과정에서 발생하는 미세먼지·소음·진동 등 환경피해를 줄이기 위해 2022년 석재산업 환경피해 저감 지원사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 국도비 포함 총 2억 1천만 원의 사업비를 투입해 미세먼지 제거용 대형 백필터(여과포) 및 분무시설(관정, 분무배관), 세륜시설, 소음·진동 방지막 등 환경피해 저감 시설 장비를 지원하며, 지원 대상은 「석재산업 진흥에 관한 법률」 제9조에 따라 석재가공(채취)업으로 등록된 원주시 소재 석재사업자라고 했다.

오는 1월 12일부터 26일까지 시청 신속허가과 산지허가팀을 방문해 신청할 수 있으며, 자세한 사항은 시 홈페이지 공고란을 확인하거나  담당부서에 문의하면 된다고 전했다.

원주시 관계자는 “이번 사업을 통해 지역주민의 생활환경을 개선하고 석재산업에 대한 체계적인 보호와 육성을 도모하겠다.”라고 말했다.
