[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 1월 5일 11시 원주시는 호저면 칠봉서원 복원사업 현장을 배향선현 종중 대표에게 공개했다고 밝혔다.

사업비 50억 원이 투입된 칠봉서원 복원사업은 2015년부터 토지매입, 문화재 발굴조사 등을 거쳐 올해 준공 예정이라고 전했다.

강원도 4대 사액서원 중 한 곳인 칠봉서원(七峯書院)은 운곡(耘谷) 원천석(元天錫), 항재(恒齋) 정종영(鄭宗榮), 구암(久庵) 한백겸(韓百謙), 관란(觀瀾) 원호(元昊) 등 4인의 선현을 배향한 서원으로, 1693년에 ‘칠봉’으로 사액됐으나 1868년 서원철폐령에 따라 훼철됐다고 했다.
