[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 16일 포천시의회는 2020년 국방중기계획에 따라 해체되는 6군단 부지의 반환을 촉구하는 ‘6군단 부지 반환 촉구 결의안’을 채택했다고 밝혔다.

이번 결의안은 국가 안보를 이유로 우리 시민의 희생만을 강요하는 군의 행태를 규탄하고, 우리 시 발전을 저해해온 6군단 부지의 반환을 촉구하고자 제161회 제2차 정례회 제2차 본회의에서 의원 전원이 공동발의해 원안가결했다고 했다.

결의안의 주요 내용으로 6군단 부지 즉시 반환, 6군단 부지 반환을 위한 민·관·군협의체 즉시 구성, 군부대 주둔 및 훈련으로 인한 문제 발생에 대한 주민 의견 적극 수렴 등을 담고 있다고 했다.

한편, 포천시의회는 20일 6군단 부지 반환을 촉구하는 집회를 시작으로 의원별 릴레이 형식의 1인 시위를 이어갈 예정이며, 청와대와 국회 국방위원회, 국방부, 행정안전부 등에 결의안을 전달했다고 밝혔다.
