이날, 강원대 법학전문대학원 최상욱 교수 등 반부패 시민전문가 5명을 위원으로 위촉하고, 앞으로 경찰이 추진하는 반부패ㆍ청렴정책 정책에 대한 자문역할을 당부했다고 했다.

청장과 공동위원장을 맡게 된 최상욱 교수는, 협의체는 국민과 경찰의 긴밀한 소통창구로 함께 고민하고 경찰이 국민에게 존중받고 전 세계적으로 대표할 수 있는 청렴조직으로 상징될 수 있도록 역할을 다하겠다고 밝혔다.

한편, 지난 10월 12일에는 경찰청 시민참여기구인「반부패협의회」위원들이 청렴실천에 앞장서는 강원도경찰청과 강릉경찰서를 방문하여 현장직원들의 다양한 의견을 들은 바 있다고 전했다.
